... of the day.
Mi, full of energy, was always leading the way by a good 20 feet. Whereas for me, I was taking my time, savoring the landscape and taking pictures. After a good 45 minutes, we were halfway up the mountain. Looking down was tempting but I was here to reach a goal and up, I will go. The last 45 minutes were a little more harder for me because the mountain was more rocky, more stiff and in several places, slippery. But ...
Just a quick blog about Mont Tremblant!
I've never been anywhere like the village of Mont Tremblant before. It's some weirdly clean, very tourist orientated, colourful collection of shops and facilities, on the mountain, surrounded by some of the amazing Canadian scenery. There is a relaxed atmosphere, probably because most people there are on holiday. When we went there was a music/arts festival ...
... dos!)
... brought to the top of a hill by ski loft and then riding down the hill on a weaving path on bugies. It was super fun! Dad and I went 4 times heidi went 3 and colette....went 0!!! She was too much of a wimp to go on the ski-lift...heidi was making fun of her the whole way up haha. It was really cool and lots of fun. next we decided to have lunch at "Le Shack" mostly because they boasted the best burgers in Tremblant...i wasnt ...
Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada mckelsosBonjour ma famille! It has been a crazy weekend!
The main program ended on Friday, after 5 weeks of immersion. A few friends left for home, but two of my roommates, and a couple friends are staying behind for the last week. After graduation ceremonies on Thursday, and a lazy breakfast in the caf on friday, maria, Laura and i decided to rent a car and drive to ...
Most of this ski trip planning was left up to the other two couples. All I knew was to book Friday off and come straight home after work on Thursday because we were leaving for Québec right away. Thursday was a scramble, running downtown at lunch to get our skis rented while trying to juggle and sip scalding hot Thai soup take-out. Madly dashing around the house trying to stuff random warm clothes into my backpack. Senica was much more prepared, actually ...

Piedmont, Quebec, Canada aildoux... and I were super-prepared and had made sandwiches the night before so we were free to explore and find some tea. Tea gets served in lots of different ways in Canada, on this occasion we were given what looked like upside down light bulbs with hot water to pour over our tea bags. Lunch and tea hastily consumed we moved on to Mont Tremblant itself - a tiny little village that is a ski resort in winter. There's some snow still there ...
Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada bigredrucksack... although my thighs were killing by the end of the first run). We decided to do a blue run on our third run of the day. Now for anyone who has skied in Australia a Canadian blue run is roughly equivalent to a black run from my experience. So we were quite chuffed about that. We ended up doing mostly blue runs for the rest of the day. We took Phil down the long green run in the afternoon as it was his first time sking ...
