... where we saw our first fall colors. Personally I think I'd like this better than Devil's Lake for a summer outing. Checked out Little Norway, so disappointed its closed, it is in a gorgeous valley. We were also disappointed in the lack of trolls along trollway in Mt Horeb, though those that are there are very cute. We had pizza at the Grumpy Troll. Nice staff, good food, recommended. Long day ...

Madeleine lives in Madison, the state capital of Wisconsin. We flew into Chicago and drove to Madison after an overnight stop in Chicago. Madison is a very pretty city, with lots of green parks and wide streets. We had several days of sunshine but also nights with torrential rain and incredible thunder. We met Jonathon, Madi's beau, and several of her cycling friends. Our visit coincided with TOAD, the Tour ...

Really the only clues of its existence were the occasional set of revised grading standards, which none of the professors really seemed inclined to follow. We were shown one iteration of the guidelines, which spelled out in a simple 12 page document how each ...

... can take a boat ride to actually see The Dells (rock formations on the river). After I left here
I drove to Eau Claire. There wasn't anything here. I wanted to go by the Leinenkugel beer factory in Chippewa Falls but I didn't have enough time.

I passed into Minnesota and stopped in Saint Paul. It is a really nice city and is literally right next to Minneapolis....they could almost be the same city. I went by the Cathedral of Saint Paul. It is huge!!! Such ...

... windiest and steamiest spots. They have mountains, flat expanses, and rain forest. It's a whole lot of places all bundled up into one.

So, it's time to start digging through all the information. Get out the map and plan the route. Get a prescription for malaria meds. Can't wait to meet you Bolivia!

          Until next time,
