On to Door County Bakery. I didn't realize it was so far out of town, or we might have stopped in Fish Creek first. But the food there was fantastic. We got the quiche to go, plus some other yummy stuff and we managed not to spend too much. We took our food and headed south to Cave Point SP. Of course going the direct route we missed Bailey's Harbor.... oh well. ...

After breakfast we took an impromptu side trip to the shore of Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee. Didn't see much of the lake because there was a breakwater which formed a small harbor. Got great views of Milwaukee skyline and several nearby museums. Then drove 80 miles west to Madison, the state capital. Spent over 2 hours on a self guided tour of the state capital building.
