    ... of staying up all night in order to get a jump start on the time change. Bangkok is exactly 12 hours ahead of US Central time so with Kate coming off of night shifts, she's already on SE Asian time!

    Our flight leaves LA on Sunday at 1:45 with a quick layover at the Tokyo airport. We will arrive in Bangkok at 11:25pm (or 11:25am WI time) on Monday August 11th.

    Sunday morning The Girlfriends left to go to their respective homes. Sue and I picked up Armando and went to the class reunion picnic. Again we had a good turnout and perfect weather.

    ... the heart of the city as some describe it, but more the spinal cord. People don’t congregate at a particular place; it just attracts people to the myriad of small shops, bars and eateries along its length. There is some good food available, we sampled a beer, chocolate and coffee cupcake as well as a nice little picnic on the median strip under the trees near the State Capitol building with a local cheese board and some craft beers/ciders.
