So read this morning's Weather Channel forecast after my stormiest night of the trip and before a wet morning ride to Louisville. Little sleep last night after spending most of it in 3 waves of thunderstorms. First is a strong wind, then thunder simultaneous with the lightening and then intense rain that tapers over an hour or two. Sometime during the night my tent pole bag blew away never to ...

Money that was changed hands on the last Kentucky Derby Day was $210,000,000. Had lunch downtown ...

Our day included several stops. We stumbled upon the Lincoln Boyhood Memorial Park on our drive through Indiana. We browsed the museum that honored Lincoln's boyhood to his early 20's. Our next stop was Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum. We had a tour of the grounds, saw a video about the race and enjoyed ...

... over the bridge and so very convenient to downtown Louisville. Louisville is a beautiful city. The downtown area has been restored with all the original architecture and personality intact. We used the free hop on and off trolley to tour downtown. Visited the Louisville Slugger Museum and toured the factory. Great little shops and restaurants all throughout downtown. Going to Churchill Downs today and will be taking a riverboat cruise down the Ohio River this evening. Life is ...
