This was the worst day of my trip so far.

It is a tossup which city I would label Hell City - Laredo or Monterrey

Got into Laredo at 1:00 am..
First 3 hotels I tried were full - no vacancies..
Checked into a Mexican hotel at 2:00 am...

... gas prices. Why would some one pay $3.50 a gallon for gas when they can get it some place else for $3.00 a gallon????? Convenience maybe....I don't know....

It is starting to get warmer - 18 degrees C. and the days are starting to get longer....
I see a few Xmas decorations around, but I do not feel very Xmassy...

Drove through 3 large cities yesterday - Dallas, Austin and San Antonio - takes anywhere ...
