... of a special effects show, Twister had us standing in a massive room that doubled as a small town in the path of an oncoming tornado. Things exploded, everything shook (including the ground we were standing on and the roof above us), cars flew across the room, torrential rain showered the audience, and things caught on fire. It was mighty impressive and we all left with a huge smile on our face.
From there we walked along the streets of "New York" ...

7. A man approached the Cyber Space Mountain ride with a large plush Sonic the Hedgehog toy. He asked my trainer if Sonic could ride. She was baffled by this request, and responded with something like "Uh...well....he won't be able to join you, no. I'm sorry but all personal belongings must be stored in the lockers." The man with Sonic said, "Well I don't want to ride, I just think Sonic would have fun riding it!" My trainer ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista Orlando
Very Spacious and Warm Pool
We stayed here the middle of March and had a two room suite for $209 per night, cheaper than getting two rooms. Plus very spacious, clean, nice kitchen area and some privacy! The pool was a good size and was just the right tempature, feels great after a day of hitting the sites!
Good (warm) breakfast in the morning with plenty of seating. Friendly staff. We had had reservations for two nights, but they were overbooked so sent us (and paid for the whole thing) to a hotel just down the street that had the same amenties and same size room. Upon returning to Residence Inn for our second night at Disney there was a Thank you note, fresh cookies and two bottles of water thanking us for our understanding! Very nice place, it will be our choice in the future!
Loved the Residence Inn Orlando Lake Buena Vista
We stayed at the hotel in June 2003. It was excellent! The staff was great! The breakfast (free) was wonderful. The rooms were clean.
Without hesitation, we would stay at this hotel again. They are a pet friendly hotel and will work with you on cleaning your room. The pet fee is high, but worth it.
Great place
What a find -- big, clean room, very comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff. We stayed three nights and could not have been happier.
Especially liked the maps and directions we were given for our forays in and around Orlando. My husband loved the hot eggs/bacon, etc.
breakfast; I appreciated the fact that they had yogurt and oatmeal. We got a good price and would definitely go back. Did not use the shuttle on our viist to Epcot but had no trouble getting there because the staff had a "back way" direction that was fast and easy.
Excellent, the best ever
My family stayed at this hotel in October 2003 and I must say this was the best hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel was more than I could have hoped for. It was clean and the employees were great. The location was extemely nice as it is not on a commercial street and still close to Disney World. Restaurants are close as well. As for the hotel itselt, This is the first hotel that I really could really get a decent nights sleep. The breakfast bar was worth the stay alone. The variety of food and the cleanliness was somthing I have never seen. The room was fantastic, beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
Supplies were there before you needed them. The only thing that was a stretch was the waterfall that is listed in the brochure. The pool area was large and no one was falling or swimming into anyone. I do think that the out jacuzzi needs to be watched to keep out kids. As usual they were using it as a pool. This is a parent issue more than an hotel issue but the hotel needs to inforce the no kid rule for the jazcuzzi.
I enjoyed this so much we are planning another visit to this hotel even though we are not planning on going to Disney World. If you are looking for a vacation spot this is it. I can honestly say it has everything you could want and more.
Great hotel in every way. I highly recommend it.
This suite hotel is great for families. The free full breakfast (including bacon and scrambled eggs, several waffle machines, fresh fruit, cereal, a few more things, and drinks) was very good and was served buffet-style in a large, clean area not far from the lobby. The Residence Inn LBV is only a couple of years old and feels new. The exterior of the hotel has a very appealing look. The pool is nice, and there is a children's pool as well. The rooms are clean and come with a full kitchen. The hotel is located very conveniently to Walt Disney World (it takes about four minutes to drive from the hotel parking lot to Disney property, then only a few short minutes after that to a Disney theme park). I dealt with three different people at the front desk and they were all very friendly and helpful. I very highly recommend this hotel.
I love the residence inn orlando-Lake Buena Vista

Wonderful Stay
Beautiful facility from rooms to public areas. Lovely pool area. Resort feel. Safe clean and comfortable. Home away from home. Excellent breakfasts. Will stay again.
What a fantastic palce
Stayed here for 6 nights in September/October 2003. Wasn't sure what to expect as sometimes website pictures can be deceiving. It was brilliant. Best customer service outside of WDW! Great suites. Large and spotlessly clean. Kitchen was a real bonus (including ice machine in the fridge). Bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, and so big!!! The pool was never crowded and the hot tub was great.
Breakfast was included and was very good. Only complaint was that the coffee was not the best, but then I am something of a coffee snob! We would definately stay there again and I just hope that it doesn't deteriorate in years to come as so many Orlando hotels have done
Loved This Hotel
I like all Residence Inn Hotels as a rule, and very much enjoyed our trip here last year. I wanted to take my father to Disney World and got a great rate using his AARP card. We were paying $105 for a two-room suite. We each had our own private bedrooms and bathrooms! When you aren't used to living with your father, that's a major plus! We enjoyed the suite aspect, with the common living room and kitchen. They also provide a nice breakfast bar which is included. They have people walking around telling you about timeshares and such, but they really weren't high pressure (as in some other Orlando hotels) and didn't bug us every day. We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a car and felt very close to the main highways and entrances to Disney World. Would definitely stay here again on any future trip.
Excellent service
Last year we took a trip to florida and as I am very familiar with Residence Inn properties I immediately sought one out for our week long vacation. We arrived around 9 p.m. after a long drive and were greeted courteously and treated with much respect. The room was immaculate and spacious. When it was time to go home I did not want to leave. It was a wonderful value for the price and truly stood up to its name.
