... I flew from Perth to Florida at the end of April, and my lab work officially started last week, ironically on the day of my 40th birthday. What a way to celebrate!

I'm drowning in hippo dung, but things are going well so far. Lots of exciting information will be forth-coming soon! And I am sure I will have time to have an adventure or two while I am here, so there may also be some more fun travel blogs in the future. But ...

... I spoke to Mom’s dear Rabbi Lubliner after the Sabbath ended, he asked whether my doctors approved my travel. I replied, I didn’t ask them. I’ll be as careful as I can to avoid infection and illness, but I’m coming.

Mom’s health had been declining over the 6 years after my Dad died. Her biggest problem came from back and hip and knee pain from osteoporosis and previous fractures. The pain impacted her mobility to the effect that during ...

... mustang. He gave me a whistlestop tour of the bits of Jacksonville we saw and of the base as well. Everything was closed when we arrived and it was dark, so I'll do a proper scout out tomorrow, but it's massive. There's 13500 people,e who work here and my hotel is right by a golf course. There's even a Mcdonalds and superstore on base. My room's very nice. I've got an open plan kitchen/lounge, a nice double bed (now adorned with a British flag above it) ...
