... we had to power walk/run through the crowd to the one ride everyone was aiming to get on first: The "Radiator Springs Racers". It was the race between people and families with strollers! The line grew very quickly and we still had to wait at least an hour before we could get on. Thankfully, it was well worth the wait! It is a slot car kind of track, that cruises through popular places in Pixar's "Cars" movie, including the tractor-tipping field, Ramone's paint job service ...

And so did Cilla. So much so that later on we went back again ....and again.... and again! Four times we screamed our way around that 1.8km track and loved every bit, bar the stomach-dropping feeling during the steep descents. But I didn't think I liked rollercoasters!

Finally here, the bit of the holiday I was most excited about. Disneyland! We headed down to the hotel reception to buy our tickets to save queuing at the park and we got ourselves tickets for the ART shuttle from the hotel to the resort. The tickets we bought were a park hopper ticket but we ended up staying in the California Adventure park all day. We started the day off with a ride on Soarin' Over California which is a plane simulator where you fly over all the best ...

... t too bad. 30 mins was the max we waited for. The street parade was pretty good. Courtney eyes just lit up when all the "princesses" came out. She just loved seeing all the characters. Getting a bit chilly, so back to hotel to check in and shower, and back across for the fireworks at 9.30. And what a show it was. The kids were ...
