Our complimentary breakfast at the Holiday Inn is really good, it has lots of variety to fuel us up for the day. After brekky we walked to the beginning of the Cultural Trail where we hired some bikes. The weather was forecast to be cloudy with chances of storms in the afternoon so we wanted to get the trail done first and not get wet in the process.

It was a lovely, bright morning when I arrived in one of the many parking lots outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway shortly after 7am where I found thousands already parked, many with the tailgate party well underway. Headed east from Champaign where I lost an hour crossing into Indiana and the Eastern timezone. I continued eastwards on the interstate bound for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to collect my parking permit for the race tomorrow.
