Today we had a Free day so Arlene & I explored the city on our own. We started at the Austrslian museum which had interesting displays of the aboriginal people as well as displays on the seaside and wild life of the country and a section devoted to the various minerals and gems mined here. Lots of cafes had outdoor seating and folks sitting around watching soccer on TV. ... down stairs, there's plenty to observe while you're waiting. We went on most of the rides excluding the really little kids ones, and watched a couple of the parades & shows that we stumbled on. We found a place that served root beer floats & extreme ice cream sundaes, it also had a comedy show that was due to start so we waited for that. Sam poked the ice cream in his root beer float to the bottom, it foamed & overflowed all over ...
