    A little more New Orleans

A travel blog entry by akgraff on Jul 07, 2015

I started off my day with some golfing at the English Turn Golf and Country Club. I found a great deal on "Golf-Now" only to find out rental clubs were crazy priced. I had a fun round regardless. Tami enjoyed the pool while I was away. I joined her there upon my return. The concierge guys were very helpful finding good places to eat. After ...

    New Orleans!

Before leaving Memphis, we needed to do laundry... badly! While waiting for the washing machines to finish, we found a Ms. Pac-man game and I got to witness Tami's video game skills! After a drying/folding/packing session, we bounded down to New Orleans. After checking in, we spent a little time at the pool. Then we headed ...

Apparently it’s snowing up there… we shall see. Winter gear back to the top of the suitcase! Bring it on!

    ... Stadium.

Side note: I think this is the only school we went to where the stadium is named after the mascot. I really like that. Of course I still love Kyle Field!

So I’m writing this blog on the very last leg of our trip. I was able to hit HOME on my GPS and right now it says we are 167 miles away from home and our Trip odometer is reading 2887 miles. Which means we will pass ...

... Controllers reminded me very much of the Control rooms for stages C and D at the MUJA power station. In fact I'm pretty sure there were some 0 to 5V control cards the size of an old Britannica encyclopaedia book, just like MUJA!!!!

To be fair the Mission Control centre had been the test rig for all of the Apollo fleet and the Saturn Rocket. The entire time I was checking the rig out, all I could think was could you imagine trying to find the hot joint ...
