    Dummies on the Dunes

    ... our jammies - we stopped at the Silver Lake Sand Dune State Park and rode a big butt dune buggy over the dunes for about an hour. It was great fun and the whole car got a kick out of the 2 "Red Hat Ladies" trying to climb in and out of the darn thing. Glad we only stopped a couple of times, I couldn't have climbed in and out many more times.
    ANOTHER EARLY START TOMORROW - we catch the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee tomorrow morning.

    ... there wasn't much going on. I left and tried to find the Veldheer Tulip Garden but I couldn't find it! I spent an hour driving around looking for it, but my GPS just couldn't locate it.

    Next I stopped in Grand Rapids and I drove around for a little bit. There are a lot of nice churches here. I stopped at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew which is a beautiful church. I also went to the Frederik Meijer Gardens which is a definite must-see! The gardens ...

    It is called the DeKlomp wooden shoe and Delft factory. Here they use machines to carve out wooden shoes, which you can purchase (I tried a pair on, but felt they just wouldn't work in the office).
