    ... the castle was expensive so we settled on some pictures and beautiful scenery. On to the next vineyard. It turned out to be Cairdean Estates where Maureen tasted some fine wines which we eventually bought. Then to St. Helena for a visit of the town, if you are an antique shopper this is a good but pricey place to shop. On to a couple of more vineyards, Robert Mondavi which has a beautiful complex. ...

    ... and we were expected to somehow fit! Eeeekk!










    Interesting fact, Golden Gate Bridge has the highest suicide rate in the USA, and hence have 4 emergency counselling phones up there. Apparently the view is so beautiful it compels people to throw themselves off it. At least 1 fatality a week through suicide.

    Upgrade on Stateroom!

    ... it worked!

    We were upgraded not once just one category, but 4 categories! Now our cabin is in Category MB, which will put us closer to the middle of the ship on Dolphin deck. The mini-suite size and amenities are exactly identical to ME but we are grateful that we'll be closer to the elevators.

    ... tempted me in due to the nice smell coming from within and ended up being served by someone who used to live in Norwich. This was pretty crazy considering that we were not exactly in a tourist spot and I was glad that we had decided to drive for the most part as we would have missed out on things like this by flying. The waitress recommended that we stop to view the Elephant Sea Lions that were a few miles down the road and also to check out Hearst Castle. ...
