    ... trip. I had to check in and re-check my bags. This time my boarding pass didn't say anything about Gold status. Oh, well. I went to the gate and killed a couple hours until my flight.

    It's hard to believe how quickly all of this has happened. I got my teaching certification the middle of January, went to the international teaching conference the beginning of February, and was officially offered the job in Bahrain by the beginning of March!

    Well it looks like chaos will be our guide today. Seems that Continental does not have a baggage agreement with Lufthansa or whoever they code share with. Our bags will only be checked through to Heathrow. So, we'll have to clear immigration and customs, and then recheck ourselves in...all in two hours. This should prove to be interesting.
