    Caverns and killers

    From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

    Hi! How is everyone? We are all still wired from the sugar that we have consumed and continue to consume. :) We have had some wonderful celebrations for Miss Addy P's birthday. It was so much fun. We had a celebration with just Addy, Mama, and Baba on her actual birthday. Then we went to Mama's work and celebrated again. Then, we had the family party!     ... party on Saturday. It will be a full house! Most of the family Addy has met at least once except she will get to meet my sister and brother's family for the first time. Oh so sweet. I cannot wait - I have missed them so!!! We are doing great and look forward to a fun filled rest of the week. Hope everyone is great too!

    ... hats and boots. This all felt a lot more genuine than the Fort Worth Stockyards. Being international guests at the show also gave us access to a special lounge offering free drinks and snacks as well as free daily entry to the show for the whole month it was on. It really did pay to be English! Prior to the evening rodeo event we escaped the sheep, pigs, cows and fast food offerings at the show site and walked to a nearby bar/restaurant which offered better value ...

    ... instead of raccoon road kill, I saw a dead armadillo on the side of the road! We crossed into Texas, where, of course, there were lots of cows and ranches. Our drive was quite enjoyable all day until we got into Dallas in rush hour, around 5 and you wouldn't believe the traffic.
