We're hoping to get a permit to visit the open, unguided area tomorrow. It seems to be more difficult than I'd ever imagined. There are about only 6-7 rigs here and they allow 70 folks per day. I believe it is so restricted due to the fact that it is a Sacred Site to the Native Americans. I can appreciate that, but surely would like to see some stone paintings and petroglyphs. We shall see.. More on that tomorrow.
