Our first stop on the road to South America was an overnight in Dallas, Texas on Spencer's B-day. So, I scouted out a famous BBQ place that was close to the airport and our hotel - Hard Eight Texas BBQ was it! We ordered a tray of meat - seriously. We chose a sampler tray of different meat including; beef brisket, chicken jalapeno poppers, spicy sausage, and some beef skewers plus we added corn on the cobb. Everyone's favorite was the beef ...

Checked in, through security (another SMALL bottle of water taken off me and nearly the Vegemite, which I had forgotten to move into checked luggage). Up to the Qantas Club to wait out the rest of the time - and have lunch (at 5.30pm).
Boarded the A380 ready for 8pm departure. Sat in the Tarmac for 30 mins, then up, up and away.
We took some more scenic ways back to Flower Mound. The women had been shopping . . . so when they returned, we headed out for some eats.
