    Day 8: The long drive home & final budget

    ... and oh so yummy. Matt goes nuts over the teppanyaki. His favorite meal!)

    It ended up taking us 12 hours to make the "short" 8 hour drive. So much for our plans to get home early!

    So this is the final detailed budget tally. Turned out to be a pretty low-cost vacation - especially since we did many "bucket list" activities that are typically super expensive.

    The last bit of the drive took us through the Tail of the Dragon, the most famous touring road in North America. It sure was a twisty drive! Unfortunately, Matt and Esen both got a little nauseous after a while so it eventually became a difficult drive. Took us over an hour to get through the Tail.

    ... Marcos)'s job at Ford. We met through Diogo because he played on the JV soccer team with Connor. At a team dinner at the Netter house, we found out that Dio plays volleyball too, so we invited him along, we could always use more players in our pick-up games!     ... condemned. Regardless, we will be going to Detroit for lunch tomorrow, and upon a close up I reserve the right to take back everything nice I have said about Detroit.

    In actuality, Windsor wasn't so bad. It's small, but homely and very green. The river front is very nice, and without a doubt, its a hell of a lot safer than Detroit. The river is quite impressive and there are constantly tankers and barges travelling up and down it. The Detroit bridge is ...

    ... I enjoy playing Words with Friends (and Cheats) through Facebook and reading my San Francisco Chronicle and Martha Stewart magazine.

    I loved getting and glittering all the cards from family and friends for Christmas. We enjoyed serving lunch to the seniors at Our Lady of Victory Church. But most of all, we were glad to be here to celebrate Christmas with Kathleen's mom.
