Stopping for the night in Columbia Missouri after taking a picture of Beetle Bailey. I remember reading Beetle Bailey in the funny pages every day. We had a great day taking the back roads instead of I-70. Saw tons of barns and great houses along the ...
... time wandering around the store and playing with all the cool and unique toys. We were all in awe of the specialized marbles that were created here and enjoyed the experience and the break from the drive. We rented the movie Annie (2014 version) and since we all loved the music so much we bought the album to play as we drove. We belted out these songs for the rest of the drive. 4:30 PM - Crossed the Missouri River & into Missouri and through Kansas City where we hit some 'rush hour' traffic - but nothing too bad.
6:22 PM - Arrive Columbia, Missouri & check into La Quinta motel.
Just over 12 1/2 hours on the road but didn't seem too bad. Good weather, no road construction.
Dinner across the street at an Applebee's.
Beautiful sunset in Missouri!
