We left Arata early due to warnings about construction delays on route 299. We had to be in Chico before 4 for the brewery tour at Sierra Nevada.

The route we took (299) was a great road for the bike, but the construction delays were a bit of a downer. I liked several of the small towns we rode through, especially Weaverville.

This afternoon is about tiring out the dog, charging all batteries and filling up water for Yosemite- dry camping 6 days. ...

We (my friend Linda and me and my two cats, Buster and FlipperDoodle) stayed here for a few days to visit with my great buddy, Marilyn, and her mom. My daughter showed on Saturday with a UHaul (Pentske truck) with her load from Alameda and we (us and friends Kathy and Jeff) topped the truck off with the last of my belongs ...

... to remember this trip and to finally get a professional picture taken of our family. So we pulled into Chico, and it happened again... another kid threw up, Dean this time. I’m not sure what it is about the trip, but for some reason we’ve gotten sick way more than we normally do…perhaps just something that goes along with moving from place to place so much. Iris was also still going through a rough patch and having a lot more melt downs than normal ...
