... uneventful, with the freeways relatively quiet at that hour of a very cold night. Our taxi driver's attempt to extract a tip by helping us with our luggage was thwarted when he opened the boot of his taxi to find it devoid of anything resembling luggage - a conundrum for him, given where we had travelled from. After warm greetings from S&M and plenty of chat over a cup of tea and a slice of freshly baked apple cake it was time to call it quits and have a ...

We visited Millennium Park, and saw The Bean and the 1000 faces sculpture where the kids took ...

... way there. The Willis Tower (formerly known as Sears) is still the tallest building in America, 1,450 feet tall with 110 floors (putting that into perspective - 262 Michael Jordans tall). It held the record of tallest building in the world for 22 years until it was overtaken in 1998.
FUN FACT - On a clear day you can see 4 states - Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

... to the river where our boat was waiting. The architecture tour was amazing. It was a great way to see the city & learn about the buildings. While on the tour there was a helicopter that had a camera on the front of it which was for the filming of Transformers 4. It kept diving down in between buildings and then going back up really quickly. After the tour we split with Scott so we could continue to bike. He took the train back to his apartment. We told him we'd ...
