We didnt have much time for anything else after that really, the car had taken a while to sort so we headed back to get changed and head out for food. We went to a place called Roots in the East Village and had the most amazing pizza you will never see anywhere else. A Taco covered pizza with a most unusual salad. It was called an Orchard Salad and had, strawberries, goats cheese (i know) and a white ...

We took some photos and then headed back to gate 7 where by then the gates had opened at 5.30pm and we walked straight in. It is not American fashion to get to anything early and we had a quick look at the location of our seats where Dale was crazy ...

... Bill Murray, Alan Alda....and just about anyone who has appeared on SNL.

We arrived back at Randi's around 10 pm to recount the day and say our farewells. We loved Chicago, what a great town, unpretentious, great food, friendly people and an international metropolis....also enhanced by our fantastic hosts.

We were sad to leave as we had only just scratched the surface...we will be back!

We stagger aboard and find we are assigned to last two seats in economy- you know, those ones that don't recline and are ...
