Having arrived in the centre of Calgary late the night before, we were able to have a well -earned lie-in! A rare treat during such a trip! After checking out of the hotel, we went straight into the city centre in search of breakfast and found it at the Barley Mill pub! Delicious! ... Rob and Lenny made a quick run through the vendors and then headed to the river for a dip. I on the other hand spent a good hour and a half chatting with the farmers, artists, wine makers, crafters, bakers etc. I eat this stuff up and love to hear stories about how and why people decide to pursue their creativeness in such a manner. ... Had to line up for 45 mins to get a Gondola. The descend then only took 8 mins.

Birthday time birthday landed on a weekend which was really nice and I after having a lovely lie in I headed out to Banff for a spot of shopping in the Sunshine!
Matt had left me a table full of presents before he headed out to work in the morning but I decided to wait until he came home to open them :-) I got some amazing new sun glasses....posh ones that need a box and everything, they are very snazzy ...
