      ... And poor Kenny had his entire body pressed against the rock and felt his whole body get zapped.

      The realization of what just happened dawned on us. The electrons had traveled all the way of the Flat Iron to us and through us. The storm raged on for like 20-30 minutes before stopping. After the storm ended, we decided to bail from the route and begin the journey back down to where we started which is difficult because there are no fixed anchors to rappel from.
