... we will take the midnight flight to Lima. While waiting, mom and I went "out" for dinner at a Cuban restaurant. We ate yuca, fried chicken, fried fish, spanish rice and plantains. The food was only ok but for the taste the price should be lower.
During the plane ride I like sitting by the window and seeing the view when we are in the clouds I took two pictures.
I don't want to bore you guys so I'll add more when I get to Lima.
... the Mississippi. Gone are the Pine Trees, hunting lodges, cabins and camper trailers. The countryside now has been extensively cleared to allow for huge farms ringed by deciduous trees just like South Western Ontario.

... were THIS MEANS WAR together and then I watched IRON LADY while Dan dozed. Not much sleep was achieved but cat-naps go a long way to survival. During the last hour of the flight we were served a breakfast of banana, hot egg sandwich, and OJ. Plenty of nourishment to keep us alive (of course we didn't burn many calories on that one trip to the lav).
... We laughed about how many things we have in common and all agreed that we need to find ways to get together again soon.
There was a big line at the airport full of outdoorsy people. Thanks to tour guide extraordinaire Thordis we knew to use the automated machines rather than wait in line. Duty free shopping included licorice, chocolate for Senn’s friend Kiley, perfume for Kaden, and a couple of Icelandic donuts ...
ok you blog followers, we are home and it feels bittersweet. You travel junkies know what I mean.
