    Oops! Wrong Vulcan!

Tomorrow we arrive in Atlanta (Lord willing!), so today we had a leisurely morning and didn't leave Jackson, MS, until after 11am. We drove to Birmingham, checked into our hotel (very nice - more frequent hotel points from Dan's Lockheed days), then drove up to Vulcan Park. It was very interesting; I'd never heard of …

The drive to Atlanta is only about two hours and we are there before we know it. We find our way to the first apartment that Ruby wanted to look at. It's a town house in Smyrna and it's nice but ...

We're heading for Gatlinburg, Tennessee tomorrow where we'll be staying for two nights, and visit the Great Smokey Mountains. Thereafter, we're heading for Virginia through North-Carolina. We expect to be at Lulu's parents' house on Wednesday, where we'll be staying about ten days or so.

This is the coolest "abandoned factory" type exhibit I have ever seen. Most places like this are fenced off or very limited access for safety reasons but nearly the entire factory is accessible. You can climb up onto platforms, peaks and machinery at your hearts content. Justin had a great time exploring an old steam shovel. We climbed ...
