We thought we had it all worked out. It was mid-week and autumn so it was sure to be quiet however it turned out that it was Veterans Day. Therefore unfortunately for us, Disneyland was EXTREMELY BUSY! We arrived to see the biggest car park in North America being filled. We finally got in, and after waiting in various lines throughout the day managed to tackle ...
Los Angeles, California, United States jamesnicky... Micheal Jackson (he DID rent from Sean Connery for $150,000 a month). We were left for ½ hour in Rodeo Drive to do some window shopping and then of course the Hollywood sign. Hollywood was very, very busy and not as glamorous as you would think! We then drove to Venice Beach for a couple of hours and the Harbor before heading back to the Hotel. Venice beach was very trendy with homes literally on the beach walkway. Monday we ...
Placentia, California, United States andrewkinsey... Hotel. The following day we went to Disney’s California Park. It’s a lovely park and seemed to have a more relaxed atmosphere than Florida! We did all the rides including Soarin’ which takes you up on a glider over the most impressive scenery in California. It was excellent! We saw Mickey and his pals again and even managed to get another art class in for Ellen. This time we all sketched Goofy!!!

We're off to Newport Beach tomorrow.

Placentia, California, United States teamollie... in various pretty areas and took some photos. The photos with the car in were surprisingly hard to come by: we parked up and crossed the road to take a picture of our rental car with a background of the impressive scenery. As Jacob focused the camera, another car pulled up, the occupants got out and stood by our car taking an endless number of pictures. They may or may not have suffered the effects of the curses we tried to place on them, depending on whether either of us actually ...
Los Angeles, California, United States jacobandkirstyHi everyone, This is Shirley, and I am setting up this travel blog (with my son Chris' help, of course) for my big one-month adventure in South America. I will be leaving on November 14 and returning on December 10. I have entered your e-mail addresses in the blog, so you will get an announcement from this web site any time I make an entry so you will know to log on and read my entry (and hopefully see my pictures) as I travel.
Placentia, California, United States shirlbellWe set sail from San Pedro on September 30 at about 2pm. There were approximately 45 of us onboard for my Dad's 80th birthday celebration. This included: my dad, my mom, my siblings, their spouses, their children, family friends, and some in-laws. (Unfortunately, all of my family weren't able to come, otherwise it would have been 60+ with just family!) The first night was a formal dinner night. A great way to kick off the cruise!
Los Angeles, California, United States cjourneys... terminal and found our shuttle bus to take us to Hertz. Picked up our car in seconds and before we knew it our American road trip had started. Within 3 minutes we'd spotted 3 Burger King drive throus, a donut shop and not one supermarket! No wonder everyone is on the large size over here! Our hostel weren't expecting us and seemed to charge us more ...
Los Angeles, New Zealand tom.steibelt... any time soon. The previous entries have been updated with a ton of photos, in somewhat chronological order. I recommend that you don't view them with the slideshow option, as the comments that I've attached to some of the photos won't show up. Unfortunately, there were a number of places that we weren't allowed to photograph inside of (damn Frenchies and their flashes ruining it for the rest of us ...
Placentia, California, United States teamollie... joined us, we were wondering where to get chairs for them when a waiter materialized with 2. Tomorrow we will be in Cuzco. Unbelievable. Seems we could sit by the pool, listening to music, writing notes, eating, drinking, swimming, watching the fake waterfall, meeting people from foreign lands for a long time. 12/11/05 Iguazu to Buenos Aires / Cuzco / Ollantaytambo Left Iguazu and got into BA around 8pm with no problems. Hotel Castelar didn't have a room for us.&nbs
