... talking very fast. Too fast for my limited Spanish to comprehend. So I had no idea I was effectively camping in Miami for the night. Until the American Jehovah's Witness and grumpy British man joined me in my base camp (beside the power outlet nearest the Starbucks). We soon realised we spoke a common language and shared a common inability to understand angry-mob-Spanish. Eventually I nominated myself to ask for more information about the situation (the mob now had their camera phones ...

Atlanta was such a great time. I went for PSO after joining the AmeriCorps VISTA. I was to go through an extensive 4 day training and head to my site the day after. I arrived at the hotel early on Monday. It was beautiful! Over 100 years old, the architecture was magnificent and the inside was super fancy! The only place it's kept on paper is in a huge vault opposite the aquarium in Coca Cola World, a museum to celebrate the iconic brand. We headed across the road to learn more interesting facts, such as there used to be a different shaped bottle in each state before the birth of the famous bottle we all know. One of the highlights was a tasting room ...

... Then we walked to the actual gangway to the ship. As I walked up the gangway and was standing over the water, I realized then that I would be leaving Thor for a week. Totally broke my heart. Once we entered the ship, a Carnival security guard checked our sail & sign and picture id one last time. We were officially onboard Carnival's Fascination! Now the mad dash to the Shore Excursion Desk!!! Ok, the reason for us to get to the boat super early is because we booked a ...

NOTE: Mike's card also has a blue/white/red sticker on the right. He bought a "soda card" for the week. It's $42 ($6 a day) + 15% tip fee + tax $51. Only the soda card holder can get 1 soda at a time (in a glass, not the can). Juices are also available with the soda card. HINT: you are allowed to bring onboard a 12 pack of sodas & 6 pack of water. We usually do but forgot to go shopping. I always recommend buying the soda card the ...
