While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement. That's all for now. Sorry if you found this post boring, but sometimes you just gotta gloat. Love you ...

Our wait to board was about 30 minutes. It was 30 minutes of torture for me & uncertainty for Mike. But, when they called our zone, we got up and Mike kept pushing along. Before you board any ship, you must take a welcome aboard photo. You really don't have a choice so it's best not ...

After spending an entire week indoors due to the great blizzard of 2011 in Atlanta, I was more than ready to hit the road for my birthday trip. Not only that, Michael had just returned from a 10-day trip to New Orleans to attend some events related to his genealogy research. He attended a commemorative event to mark the 200th anniversary of the 1811 Slave Revolt in Louisiana, a ...
