... more family low-key atmosphere than the night before. They have a big fish menu. The waiter asked if we would like to see the fish of the day. So he brought out a large oval metal platter of about 6 full raw fish and two shrimp with the claws still on. The eyes were so moist looking, you could tell how fresh they were. With the trains and buses on strike, the cabs are raising their prices, because they can! I finally negotiate a price of €35. According to our land lady, the cost is usually about €20! But, we are. Happy to pay it and get home. Tomorrow, we leave for our month rental in Lanciano on the Adriatic. It will be a long days ...

... up, the tour was ready to begin. They led us to the vehicles, which we had thought would be nice buses…. Instead they had two “van taxis”. We were not excited but piled in. A couple of the participants gestured toward putting on seat belts, but we all found none and the taxi driver exclaimed that we did not need them. We also need to point out, that we hadn’t ridden in a car for over a month now (we only did trains), so it was pretty weird ...
