    ... boat to Sicily the home of the real Mafia. I was shocked by the rubbish on the roads, you could see the beauty behind the rubbish. We stayed in Mizzano and I had the most beautiful antipasto seafood platter. Small italian family owned restaurant translated to the housewife.     ... me the secret for keeping it bright white...wash it with baking soda, not bleach. I promised her I would take very good care of it!! They are so loving and so hospitable! We eat a feast! So much food that literally we feel like our stomachs are going to burst! It's painful! The thing is that they serve you so many courses, and the servings are huge!!     ... and us are loving it!! We feel right at home! At 11:00pm, the festivities end. We exchange email addresses, hugs and kisses (on both cheeks!!), and bid farewell to our fratelli and sorelli (brothers and sisters). Another fun day in bellisima Sicilia!!     ... Another cousin, Nino (short for Antonino) takes us to his "campagna", in the afternoon. They take pride in the food they cultivate not only because it's a lot of physically demanding work, but because it's the food that eventually gets put on the table for the family to gather around. And over here, la familigia is your everything! Today is Friday and our plans are to visit some of the Aeolian Islands by ferry. So stay tuned.... In the meantime, check out some of our pics! ...

    ... told Mike I wanted one. Vespa is Italian for wasp or hornet. You know how Mike has been jumping this entire trip and we refer to it as his flying squirrel or seagull. Well now it was my turn to jump and fly like a wasp so I could be a Vespa. Maybe I could talk him into a real Vespa if I could master the flight.
