... on my side (he likes to hug the line on my side) my reply was it's ok we still have a couple of inches. We made it and found the receptionist at the camp spoke very good English which meant we were sorted quickly, complete with return bus tickets to Venice. By 2pm we were on the bus headed for Venice, it only took about 15mins. We spent the afternoon walking the small pathways and along canals, over bridges, sore feet again but most definitely worth ...

... and by the way she is excellent) took us from Milan to La Spezia – that was a regional train that would take us through Monterosso where we were staying; however it was not going to stop there. Once in La Spezia we would need to get a local train back to Monterosso. However, when we were on the train to La Spezia, the train that was supposed to not stop at Monterosso stopped!
