We woke up and had reservations for a 2 hour horseback riding trail ride on old Snowmass mountain and Hells Roaring. The entire family went and had a unique experience. As we were trying to head out of Dodge we were delayed by someone famous or powerful in those fancy black SUV's...flanked by many escort police...When I lived there the rich and famous just hung out with everyone else (which was part of the appeal for them). So now we are on the way to Utah...just about to Grand Junction. It's ...

... breeze. I had never experienced "Fall" in Manhattan Beach...I guess I was catching up. They have been doing some work on Independence Pass...it is not as scary as it once was...but, still has it's moments of excitement when it becomes a VERY narrow one lane road with a very steep drop over the edge (with no guard rails). It is difficult for me to drive without gawking at the view too much...but survival calls for eyes on ...
