Finally managed to leg it out of Fethiye on a 4 day boat cruise further down the coast to Olimpos. We were on one of those old Gulet cruise boats which the owner of the hostel in Fethiye and the boat hounded me all week telling me that 'Never I put more than 12 people' on the boat but of course rocked up to find 17 of us plus crew packing into this thing and who do you reckon was the only person not to get a cabin and had to sleep up on deck......the pink paddy ...

On the way back down I was ahead of the group. It was hotter than Hades, I had completely sweat through my brand new "burburry" collared shirt, and I just wanted to get back and have a swim. After sccessfully navigating my way down the rocks in my fragile thong sandle, I was happy to be walking on level ground. Then I took a step and my left sandle broke. took overnite bus from istanbul to olympos in the south. 11 hrs and saved one nite accomodation. catched the time to watch Eclipse....so amazing.... suddenly dark and suddenly light again. then swam on the beach.....mediterrenian sea!! freezing cold.. but at least i did it then juz sun bath on the beach...warm n nice...lazy... stayed in a tree house ...hippies colony village! cool....80 HKD a nite including breakfast n dinner! bon fire n hippie ****...facing mountains n ...
