We did visit the resort on Tuesday, with the idea of skiing and meeting Jeanne and Denis (Michel’s daughter and son-in-law) for lunch. Brief pop up to France
... last fifteen hours have been absolutely delightful. Also I ate a very delicious dinner of local fare here last night and had the perfect seat to be entertained by four other tables of varied French having their own dinners. Great people watching experience.
I know just a few words in French but have learned that "beer" is "bee-err" and I connect to the internet via "wee-fee". ...
What a difference a day makes
... to have the water. Dennis, Michel’s son-in-law who has started the improvements to the grange they have inherited, also wants the water to run again, so we suggested visiting the neighbour mob handed. However, when push comes to shove they are nowhere to be seen, so it looks like we will have to go it alone.

Back to the Pyrenees
... waters. Very grand and palatial. Dinner again with the Aussies who will help me with my Australian book tour. Did I mention that I am planning a six week India tour next autumn.
After four days of glorious sunshine it started to rain so I just drove home. It is so easy to get there on the new autoroute I may go a few times next year. Tons of spectacular walks to be done. Perhaps I should find a cottage.

The Pyrenees
... but the medieval and renaissance buildings were quite pretty and in great shape. The streets were lined with cafes and restaurants and we made our decision to come back here for dinner.
On our way back to the hotel, we decided to grab a coffee/beer on the shopping district for some people watching. It was a nice break and after partaking in a little shopping ourselves, we headed back to the hotel to freshen up before dinner.
