Back down in the port, the elite French SAS train in zodiacs, being upturned and then timed getting back into them....all in full fatigues with helmets and guns. One could potentially get into difficulties whilst bathing in the bay, and require rescuing, one supposes......

... New York, a couple from Derbyshire, two women from Brighton, a guy from Essex and the tour guide Dylan's dad, ranging in age from about 40 to 60+. We had a quick spin along the beach front, weaving in and out between people, small dogs and random street furniture. It's always a nervous time seeing who's super fit. Some of the folk were very quick but I know they are not always the ones who make it to the end.

... me as well as some wetshoes so we could get around on the pebbles. We had a quick lunch and then set off carrying bags, shades, tents, boards and water to find a little cove that was teeming with about 6 people and a dog. ... journey to get there. We hadn't realise the road to Cadaques was so bad and busy and had planned to travel back on our selves to stay at Roses. No bloody way was that happening! We very nearly stayed in the carpark over night to put off the journey back. We decided to leave Cadaques and make the 2 and a half hour journey to Berger that day rather than on Saturday. After getting back over the Cadaques road the roads were delightful. That lasted about an hour and ...
