... the bridge so that we could get a view of the cities from both sides. They have some beautiful arches leading into the city along the water and a huge cathedral. We walked along the water and into the city market which was mostly an upscale flea market. It was nice just to walk around enjoying the city on a day that wasn’t raining!
After a delightful stay in Bordeaux it was once again time to say goodbye to France and move on. What an adventure!
After another very nice lunch with Mr. Mrs. Audoin, we drove to the hotel where we would have services and the wedding. We had a brief rehearsal to make sure all the details were covered.
Several people drove in from other areas, Normandy and Poitiers, so we had a larger group than usual in Bordeaux. At 2:30 we had our Sabbath service. I gave a brief news update on things that had happened since the Feast ...
... on the quality of the fruits and vegetables. Things must be just ripe and at their best, not picked a week early for shipment somewhere. As a result the salads and raw vegetables served with vinaigrettes of various kinds are wonderful. I made a meal of the salad bar and was quite content.
After dinner I worked on preparing the sermon I will give tomorrow. And I decided to make an early night of it. As I was working I received a text message from my good friend ...
... Mr. Mrs. Bernal were there too, we had a very enjoyable evening, catching up on news, comparing notes about the recent convention we had in Normandy and planning for the future. French dinner can last quite a while, but several of us were tired from the day's activities so we finished the meal at around 9:00 pm, and went our separate ways; looking forward to meeting again soon.

Bordeaux, Aquitaine, France cariverga... bizarre.
Anyway whilst climbing up one side is probably only 40 metres, once you get carried away and run down the other side to the beach, the climb back up feels a little bit like "Laurence of Arabia"
I had to wait till we reached the bottom before telling the other two i had no cash for ice creams! Might have been lynched!!

The way it works, is they have a lit candle and they use a wine glass and fill it with wine as it's pouring out of the barrel. They check the wine in the glass against the candle to see if it is cloudy. When the wine starts to turn cloudy, they stop pouring and only use the clear portions to fill the ...
