    ... for the day. A very long travel day that was.

    Now in the Aeolian Islands, the first day starts off with a huge storm, then by midday its a nice sunny day. I short walk from my apartment is the really nice pedestrian street in Lipari. Its like time has stood still here, with nice old buildings, nothing new or modern at all.

    Well I have been very behind on my posts! But I went on the school trip to Capri, Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii It was one of the best trips I have been on! I loved everything we got to see and do, the first day we went and saw mount Vesuvius, amazing! Then we left and went to Sorrento, it was so beautiful and i was so glad to see the ocean again! We got to stay at the Central hotel, it was very nice so if you ever go to Sorento you should stay ...

    ... 24 euro I repeated what we had and she said yes 24. Asked how much the ice creams were - 8 euro each. Oh boy. Got ripped off their. Glad we stayed ages and used her internet then.     Capers are a big deal here. They grow everywhere and and are used extensively in the local cuisine. Every mom and pop shop of any kind will have their own version of preserved capers on sale, either in salt or in olive oil and packed in any kind of jar available. Most didn't bother to remove the original label from the recycled jar. Nescafe capers, anyone?
