    The bell ringing starts half an hour later in Avignon than in Aix-en-Provence. Then you start to hear the opening of window shutters as they are unlatched and concertinered (is this a word?) back into the casings. Within the walls of Avignon there are 8 churches and here goes the third one playing quite a nice tune which I don't recognise.     ... nearly missed the landing because they were asleep and could not wake up! We even had Rachel at the window seat.

    As we stepped off the plane into the tunnel, Isabel gave Paris a welcome that only she can do, and vomited in the tunnel. We were only 3 steps off the plane. Look out Paris, Isabel has arrived.

    ... on the plane. Scooter battery dying again from the plane to baggage reclaim. I'm starting to get discouraged but Charles is so supportive that I can't stay miserable. My legs have stiffened and I can't stand even if I wanted to...which I did want to cuz I had to pee.
