The bell ringing starts half an hour later in Avignon than in Aix-en-Provence. Then you start to hear the opening of window shutters as they are unlatched and concertinered (is this a word?) back into the casings. Within the walls of Avignon there are 8 churches and here goes the third one playing quite a nice tune which I don't recognise. The first photo that turned out showing the Grande Foyer was one I took half way down the room, so the room is twice as long as the photo shows, and i have to say twice as blingy.

... the songs and the words - I feel so lucky and blessed to have this surround me and the umbrella of my faith is a wonderful thing for me.Enough..
Then I strolled around the area and f0und a coffee, and then took another cab to Montmarte. There I was almost disgusted at the thousands of people all squashing onto the steps of the beautiful bascillica without respect. Selling tinny Eifel Towers and beggers squeezing into the ...

... on departure times. The one about to leave was quickly filling with teenagers, so we opted for the one about 90 minutes away. We headed over to the Latin Quarter for some dinner. We must have strolled by a hundred different restaurants, and finally decided on Lebanese. We enjoyed some delicious schwarma with hummus, bobaganoush, and taboulleh. We followed up the meal with some Lebanese coffee and mint tea. The four of us headed back to the river tour boat to start our ...
