im looking forward to crossing the boarder tommorow and hope to get to San Sebastian wich is about 30 miles .ill probably get another hotel there before heading southwest through the mounains towards Sallamanca and Portugal. ...

Great cycle routes all the way. Finished day in a 4 star campsite (i dont know how they give it 4 stars without even seeing my tent!) I suppose they did have toilet seats and toilet paper. Unfortunately there was no one at reception to pay, so i didnt! I had a great burger from a local restaurant. I got to bed about 10 and slept like a baby.
We woke up this morning to find a big puddle inside our tent as it had rained a lot in the night. The tent is a drive away awning tent and there is a zip that seals it off if it is closed but if it is left open the water can run down the tent and drip into it and this is what happened last night. It doesn't take much water to make a big puddle in a tent. So that was a fun way to start my day. Tonight in the spirit of shutting the stable door ...
An update! In short, we went from Norway to France - we have journeyed MOST OF the way to the start of the Camino but juuuuust haven't made it yet. We will be starting the Camino the day after tomorrow - Monday! On Norway: AMAZING. Oslo is a very small and green city and the people are really nice. The only downside is that everything is expensive. We got around this by taking a ferry to an island in the Oslo fjord and camping there for free, which was cold ...
... pool for kids, lots of animals spouting water and that type of thing so the girls had a ball, especially the twins. They didn't even need to wear floaties since the water is so shallow and they were just happy playing around together. The downside of being in such a large campsite that is popular with French, Brits and Spanish is that it has 'entertainment' on in the evening which although not incredibly loud can definitely be heard from our ...
