... breathing heavily from the heat and the labor. My foot pulsed with pain, my shoulders ached, and the water I had to drink was about 90 degrees. Despite this, it was beautiful and perfect. I hope that I can remember this feeling next time I face a challenge. Really, this climb was representative of this entire trip. There have been many times when I have not wanted to continue, when I didn’t think I was capable of the challenge ahead of ...

... to kill. I read a bit and wrote a bit and took a nap. So, there isn’t much to talk about today because we didn’t do much! In the evening, we made our gourmet dinner of instant rice and canned vegetables. Sometimes, you just have to work with what you’ve got, and sometimes, that isn’t a lot. When we were just starting to get ready for bed around 8:30, a family of five "pilgrims" showed up at the refuge: the mother, the father, ...

... can no longer put one foot after the other, you open a Gite or volunteer to run one for the confraternity. My one disappointment is that it has not been quite as religious as the Via Frances, I actually miss the opportunity to attend mass. Needless to say Liz and I are planning the next one. So many walks, so little time. I am also not too embarrassed to say that I have planned some fairly luxurious accommodation in Prague and Budapest. See you all in early ...
