... in and out all over the place.

Menton is sensational with it's old town and beach with wonderful little restaurants that set-up on the beachfront boardwalk. Its quite entertaining watching the waiters run back and forth across the main coast road to get you food and drinks holding three or four plates of food and negotiating the streams of scooters ...

Or airbnb host took us up to Eze in her car where we had a lovely breakfast (croissants...again) after taking Tommy, the dog, for a walk thru a nearby hiking area. We only had about 45min in Eze, 25min of which were spent eating breakfast...but is a place I'd love to return to. The day ...

... the grand prix. (The stands were still there and the stacks of tires were still to be seen).

We did see the most luxurious mega yachts we'd ever seen in our lives...and dozens of them! They were three & four stories high with multiple alfresco lounging and dining areas and some with a level with a jacuzzi. One even had the profound name of "I told you so!". I reckon he did tell 'em! After finding some unusual tunnels and connections between elevators ...

... like one continuous urban sprawl -
nothing charming about it.So we stuck to the freeway.

Crossing the border was a non event - into a tunnel on the Italian side, out of
the tunnel on the French side with just a small welcome sign. We'll
never get our passports full of stamps at this rate!!

Did I mention that Menton was a "small" place? WRONG!! It too is a
sprawling metropolis. Nothing ar all what ...
