... from Prague this must be a unique sight. The beach is rocky, yet not like the small pebbles that are common in Italy or Greece, but larger rocks like those along some parts of Lake Michigan. ... yappy dogs. The stay has not begun favourably. We also learn that the concierge has a particular dislike of labradors. Previous French municipal campsites have been very helpful, this is an exception.

... filled with onlookers. The Monaco Royal Family was of course in the Royal Box. I won't pretend to know a damned thing about racing, but to see cars moving at comically fast speeds through these historic streets, avoiding walls by millimeters and making turns that maximize speed, I am way more interested to learn more.

It was such an incredible experience and I highly recommend anyone that can go to this race at one point in their lives...needs to make this ...

... small town in the far distance along the coastal line. Followed by driving into tunnels dugged through mountainous areas. Caution! Do avoid peak hours when driving between towns to avoid being stuck in heavy traffic during weekdays.

We arrived at La Spezia late morning and headed directly to Portovenere after checking into our hotel, L'Ombrosa Locanda.
