Rano, po sniadaniu w hotelowej restauracji, podziwiamy jeszcze raz to, co ogladalismy po zachodzie slonca .
I to juz koniec przedluzonego dla nas lata - pogoda tak paskudna, ze robimy jedynie krotkie postoje, "na sikunde" ;)))
W Slowacji i Czechach straszy nas deszczem, dookola osniezone wzgorza!

Niewazne, kto wymyslil! Wazne, ze szczesliwie jestesmy na miejscu.
Kierujemy sie do Tihany, ktore znajduje sie na malym polwyspie na Balatonem.
Kazdy z nas ma jakies wspomnienia z tych miejsc: z blizszego lub dalszego dziecinstwa.
Pilotuje Marcin, dzieki ktoremu bezblednie trafiamy do celu.
Fajne lokum w wymarlym miasteczku znajdujemy bez trudu... jestesmy jedynymi ...

... for a student town there was absolutely nothing happening... We struggled to find a place to eat, with only about 4 options on offer - the first we visited - the waiter was extremely rude, so we walked out... Our other choices were Mexican or Italian...

During our meal, the heavens opened and it belted it down with rain, again ...

Tihany is a small peninsula on the northern side of Lake Balaton, it was a 45min bus ride from Balatonfured... The town centre was extremely provincial, with the exception of some very touristy/souvenir shops there was very little else there...

We arrived at Baltonfured by train and with a little help from the locals we found out which bus to catch to reach our campsite. We decided to stay in a cabin, rather than pitch a tent for three days with a strong prediction of rain. We were quite excited by our little cabin, which had a bathroom and kitchen and verandah out the back ...

... Mira being more bold then me, asking the why-question and a receipt (they only have receipts for 20), manages to have the fine reduced to 20 euro!!! Well done Mira!

By nightfall we are where we want to be for now. On a small(er) campground at the lake. Staying here as long as we need to in a way. Reorganizing the van is top priority. It has been camping out in our own house until now, with things not in place. Does not work well and keeps ...

... a thick soup made with beef, potatoes and vegetables seasoned with paprika) and I have two palacsinta (rolle pancakes filled with cottage cheese). My meal just costs 350 forints (= 1,70€ aprox) and it's delicious.
After having supper we go to a bar to have a drink and soon after midnight we go to bed. Tomorrow we're going to Croatia and we have to stay at the train station at 8 in the morning!

So it was a pretty dismal day spent at the camp, but as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. We went to the restaurant at the campground, and Jamie had the best steak he has had since leaving Australia, Natalie had a Beef Stroganoff to die for, Paige had a homemade citrus gelati and Declan had some pancakes filled with melted chocolate... so not everything is bad!!!

... a treacherous dirt road for 3 km. It soon turned into mud and was a real mess.

When we show up at our decided campsite they tell us it's $30 which is insane and 3 times what we've seen elsewhere. To finish our trial filled day we camped in a ditch.

The worst trial of all was that we wouldn't be able to make church tomorrow in Pecs as we didn't make it anywhere near as far as we needed to.

... do Komárna a zelanie pekného prezitia pobytu v Maďarsku. Prichádzame ku kompe a pri otázke, koľko to celé stojí, dostávame odpoveď "andere kasse". Tak sa teda vyberáme k "andere kasse". Ideme, ideme, ideme az sa ocitáme na kompe, ktorú za nami hneď zatvárajú. Kompa vyráza do 3 minút. Trosku nervózne cítiac problém oznamujem po anlicko-nemecky chlapíkovi, ze nemáme lístky a ze si ich potrebujeme kúpiť. No ten nasťastie len pokrč ...
