Residence Champs De Mars

No run this morning, Guys happy we don't have to go looking for that elusive early morning coffee. All up early and straight to the Eiffel Tower, didn't pre book tickets and was expecting the worst but no real issue. Some great views and good photos. Off to the Arc de Triomphe, where we saw some great street busking and some not so good gypsy pick …
... long.. I highly recommend visiting the Eiffel Tower at night rather than daytime. It gives it an entirely different "feel".. It was amazing! My pics turned out good.. and I hope to send some out once we get back home... still can't upload..
We were done at the Tower around 11:30pm but the place was still packed! Had a nice leisurely walk back to the apt.. ( I think mom is finally getting used to walking around at night and not feeling apprehensive).. Got ...
... We went to a crepe place I ordered a caramel crepe (it was good) and we walked to saint Chappell and I loved the glass because it told a story of scene of the bible (around 1000 scenes) Then we went to a restaurant and I had Croque monsieur and we walked through the senate gardens and got gelato (I got caramel and chunks of dark chocolate). Then we got home and I read my book and played toys and had dinner.
... a chat with another guy who was staying there tonight and started to drift off to sleep. At 1am there was an announcement over the speaker that the station would be closing and that all people had to go outside. Oh dear... We didn't think of that. So into the cold we went. We found a nice spot outside of the station, sheltered and dry. We slept a few hours and went back into the station at 5am when it opened. At 6am Paul went for a wander to find us fresh baguettes ...
... Innocents. What a beautiful, typically Parisian building. Built in 1669 for the builders and later workers at Les Halles Market, the apartment had some original beams, and had been remodeled in 2010. A bit small at 23 square meters, but perfect for our week living the lifestyle. The owner Philippe, showed us the amenities, we quickly showered off the airplane dirt, and without wasting another minute, were out the door. ...

We loved our stay at this lovely little residence. Located on a pedestrian street it was nice to be able to walk without cars. An excellent bakery and a series of coffee bars are located nearby. It s a very safe neighborhood and well lit at night.
The staff at this hotel were great, our room was very clean with service everyday. We did not try the breakfast room as it was quite small and very busy and we were happy to just grab a coffee close by. I would certainly stay here again and I would recommend this to anyone looking for some local charm.
