Residence Champs De Mars

We loved our stay at this lovely little residence. Located on a pedestrian street it was nice to be able to walk without cars. An excellent bakery and a series of coffee bars are located nearby. It s a very safe neighborhood and well lit at night.
The staff at this hotel were great, our room was very clean with service everyday. We did not try the breakfast room as it was quite small and very busy and we were happy to just grab a coffee close by. I would certainly stay here again and I would recommend this to anyone looking for some local charm.

No run this morning, Guys happy we don't have to go looking for that elusive early morning coffee. All up early and straight to the Eiffel Tower, didn't pre book tickets and was expecting the worst but no real issue. Some great views and good photos. Off to the Arc de Triomphe, where we saw some great street busking and some not so good gypsy pick …
... it up the hill to the apartment and then had to go out again for groceries. It was dusk as we walked home. All of a sudden a huge Harley Davidson grumbled along the street. Not your average bike but a full on hog embellshed with all sorts of curly metal gothic decorations and ridden by an enormous wild boar. Next thing the music starts. Metallica? Black Sabbath? Nah this is Paris. An incredibly mournful funereal piece, slow, lots of brass and violin, and in that ...
... again. While on the metro back to the hotel, I experienced another first since being on our European trip. A few stops after we boarded the train, several other people boarded and it was quite full with everyone brushing up against each other. But, one guy was pushed extra close behind me. I had a funny feeling about him when he first boarded and kept my guard up as he seemed sketchy. Sure enough, just as the train was stopping and doors were opening, I ...
... at a premium as Parisiennes read, write, talk and play. It seemed that everyone was at rest - the sun was shining, the day was benign and the sunlight hours long. We sat and shared the experience on a park bench near the lake. A police band was playing in the rotunda and it was a packed house, many afficionados having settled in a seat before lunch. We walked the circumference of the garden and then caught a bus to the Botanic Garden - the Jardin ...
... boat trip imagining the great accident that will destroy both of them. Sure it was hot and I had to pee and it had been four hours since that muffin, but I don't regret wishing for their demise. They are awful. At one point, the wife, who took my seat the moment I stood up, practically threw a child overboard when he tried to sit in her (MY) seat and then sat back down with a sense of entitlement even the four year old she thwarted had never considered. She was disgusting. ...
