... where we had coffee. The Wed loop ride was declared a basket and cruise day where, in perfect weather, we shambled along, taking pictures and chatted. There were plenty of French Mamils out there, keen looking older blokes and some just wearing riding hats. Very 1970s. Cars are universally respectful. That said, in some tight areas you are expected to know how to hold your line as they weave in and out. It was a great experience, with excellent people and I'd highly recommend ...

... like a top holiday spot in good weather with lots of hiking, swimming, camping options throughout the area.

After walking around trying to find and failing to find a 'healthy' quick snack that wasn't pizza or white bread roll or pastry...we succumbed to a restaurant meal - a Nicoise Salad each - 14 Euro each...thats like $23 for a salad! Ridiculous. Was a nice salad I must say ha!

The photos really don't do this place justice. And yes...I really wanted to swim...maybe another time.

... running nearly a kilometre long with its nice shops and not a cheap souvenir stall in sight. It is really a nice clean modern shopping precinct. Then, one layer further back from the nice modern paved mall area we found the most interesting part of all I.e., the very old town. Built onto the side of the hill it is just a maze of narrow covered alleyways. The streets are all on a steep incline and so basically form ...

... 50 kilometres away from the gambling capital of the world I.e., Monte Carlo. We arrived here mid afternoon and went for a walk but being a Sunday the city was almost completely closed down. From our limited viewing so far it does really look like a nice place. We are looking forward to exploring the town tomorrow when the shops are open and people are bustling about adding some life and atmosphere to the ...
