Took the car out to Piriac sur Mer today to explore the coastal area south east of Vannes. It didn't disappoint, nice old port and quaint coastal town. We stopped off for a lakeside walk in the village of Asserac on the way there, and coffee and a bit of shopping in Roche St Bernard on the way ...

... of Wimbledon on our return to the UK. We cruise along the coast for only a few minutes before spotting a little island joined to the mainland by a mere strip of sand. It is too much of a gem to resist and we park up and explore. We spend ten minutes adventuring before walking back in the warm sea which is protected by the natural dam the rocks made and sat in the sun.

... realising we were in a vegetarian restaurant. Also had a fab day in Quiberon, and another in the area around Piriac - sur - Mer.

The boys love being driven around in the VW UP - who wouldn't - plump cushion in the back to snooze on and big windows to look out of. We've walked miles with them, I don't think they know what's hit them! Lucky boys.
