It was our turn to cool tonight but since Sandrine couldn't get to the shops we didn't have a lot of food to work with or practice the menu plan so Tim whipped up a couple of Frittatas, a goats cheese pie, nicoise salad and a chocolate cheesecake - so we had a lovely informal dinner tonight. ... and we were soaked by the time we got there, but it was fun all the same! Afternoon Energiser - Tim & a few others had to get up on stage and feed a Banana on a string through everyone's trousers - we won!!  After lectures we got to enjoy the 2 course lunch then back to Papillon 2 for training on ordering our food which was really really confusing and took us about 6 hours in total to do!! ... coaches came - then it was a bit chaotic. We were on coach 2 - and it seemed since there was no limit to the luggage we could bring, people were a bit over zealous so we had to quite alot of the bags shoved at the back of the coach. Finally set off at 4.10pm. Had a random half an hour stop off at some services and got to Dover at 7.10pm to get the ferry over to France. Sunday 2 - We finally arrived in La Rosiere at 11.30 ...

... much wrong. The angle of the roof is not greatly pitched like the older buildings here, so certain winds sometimes force the rain through. It’s a 50-year-old roof too with no felt underneath, so that doesn’t help. It will cost 10,000€ to completely replace, so I think we will just continue to re-paint the stains!! Besides when I see the results of Sandy in the States, it seems a small price to pay…..
