... unlike home where they want to push you in and out so they can use your table for the best paying customers. On the way home, we stopped into a book store that sold English books as Amy was in need after her kindle ran out of battery. And then of course we stopped for dessert. I had gelato of course! Two scoops- one of biscotti and one of tirimisu. Yum!!! We had an awesome day in Verona today. We have half a day here tomorrow before heading off to Milan (our last stop) in the ...

We're immediately struck by Tramin's lack of Italian character... none of the signs are ...

Today we travelled from Moneglia to Bardolino, Lake Garda in northern Italy. We travelled through a 6 km one-way converted train tunnel to leave Moneglia. We missed the green light by 1 min and had to wait 20 mins before it was our turn!! It rained most of the 3.5 hours drive over fantastic autostrada's and it cost about €30 in tolls. We had such perfect weather over the last week we didn't mind ...

... letter to Juliet via email. In the courtyard there was a statue of Juliet. Tradition says if you rub her right breast you will be lucky in love. So many people have rubbed it over the years and it's actually a shinny gold color compared to the rest of the statues that brass color. On our way out of town we got a little lost, but used this as an excuse to stop and get internet at a waffle cafe. We eventually found our way and got on to our next train headed to Milan, Italy.
