Day 1: I get moving early and go across to the little cafe in the square for the BnB provided breakfast of tea or coffee and a croissant. They have free wifi which works. Yes! The BnB wifi is useless! After breakfast I head off to the boat pier and get a day ticket for the Middle lakes area. 15 euro and can be used to get to Villa Carlotta, Bellagio, Menaggio and back to Varenna. It's beautiful on the ...

It is almost goodbye Italy, for now ...

... a coffee at Bar Sport and then a walk over the hill to the little village of Pescaro on the other side of the promontory. You know this area well Anne and Rob. The hotel was still closed here as the people were cleaning ready for the opening soon. We wandered through the cemetery and then back over to Bellagio.

We decided to head out to dinner at the Aurora Hotel in Lezzano, where we ate with Paul and Rosie last time we were here, where we ...

Daylight savings began today and Sue happened to put her clock forward 2 hours and had everything packed by 6am before realising that it was very quiet outside.
We left Innsbruck and made our way towards Bellagio with the GPS sending us via St Moritz. Of course Lou was a bit worried about whether the road would be open all the way and how Sophie would cope. This was the quickest way and cut out about 2 hours so we took the gamble.
The driving between mountains was ...
