      lots of snacks
      ginger chews
      travelers diarrhea meds
      a few other first aid items
      kleenex to use as TP when not available
      travel size bathroom items (everything in 3 ounce size or smaller and only 2 zip lock bags worth)
      laundry soap
      yarn to knit another pair of socks
      and of course a couple of cameras.

      Eek! Just a few hours left!!!

      ... The locals tell me this restaurant used to be a hotel. Bodies are now buried under the property from years ago when deceased family members couldn't afford to move the bodies to a different cemetery. I ordered their "blank canvas" pizza and added my own toppings. (Thank you for having green olives).       ... I'm packed already-note I started this entry 1/23--, LOL), have the same purple rain jacket--scratch that, a similar purple rain jacket. That trip in 2007, I had the misfortune of having everything stolen, but I adored the Lowe Alpine backpack so much that I ordered an identical one as soon as I returned. And well, how hard is it to find a rain jacket in my favorite color?

      I am a bit pudgier and wrinklier than 2007 but the benefit of age is not ...

      ... I couldn't resist taking time to drive through my old neighborhood in Ann Arbor Hills, past my schools and around the campus. There's no where else in the world for me to be as nostalgic as I am when I return to Ann Arbor.       The Michigan Marching Band is remarkable and inimitable in size and talent and very entertaining. Half time performance was amazing. Of course, we did what all good tourists (and adopted fans) do... We took pictures at the Wolverine Statue post game.
