    We left Lastovo early as we knew that we had a 10 hr sail. As we left Croatia we spotted 2 dolphins close by, what a lovely sight. We settled in to a routine of look out, sleep and reading.     ... cathedral date back to Norman times although both have been rebuilt. The
    cathedral has a beautifully painted ceiling. It would appear the town was
    attacked on numerous occasions by Turkish pirates who liked to massacre the
    townspeople. Its narrow steep streets make it very picturesque.

    We left Rome at 8 AM, stopping in the nearby hills to learn about the Roman Emperor Hadrian, at the ruins of his monumental villa at Tivoli. An enthusiastic traveler and builder, his lasting legacy includes his great wall across Britain, the domed Pantheon, and his stylish beard.
