... drinks and got room service before tarting ourselves up for a night at the supperclub called Stars, both wearing black!!!!Went to check out the boutique and casino before dinner. Nothing in the shop caught our eye and we have money to spend. Degustation dinner was excellent and the singer and piano player were good too. I got to request "I'll be looking at the stars......" Off to the Panorama room to finish, where we met the couple from New Jersey again. Back to bed at 11pm, tired ...
One day visiting the centre - Corte
... goat cheese, plate of local smallgoods and leek beignets (leek scallops?), for main meal veal and broccu in a beautiful sauce, and veal tripesall cooked by the owner's wife. 19th June we were supposed to drive to Saint Florent and Bastia, we stopped for coffee at Ile Rousse and by then decided it was too late and headed for a beautiful beach (Ostriconi) below a cliff. Nice white sand and great snokeling. Home for shower, shopping and diner.

Swim at the nearby beach
17th June; left at 9am for the marine and national park reserve of Scandola, visit of the fishing village of Girolata, only accessible by sea or goat track.
Back for another salad and a swim and at 6pm back on board for the Callanques du Piana.

... lanes. The ‘€5 and no toilette carpark’ at the end of the road is at 1400m altitude, and we plan to walk to Le Lac de Melo at over 1700m. And what a climb… Some of it is serious alpine stuff, but the destination is well worth it: just stunning. We are lucky as the weather stays OK until our descent, and then closes in: immediately it’s quite chilly with poor visibility and threatening to rain. We take a different route down ...
