... got back to our room at 3:00 and spent time on the computer.

We made dinner reservations for a restaurant right across the street from our hotel. Our hotel, by the way, is lovely. I plan on spending most of my day tomorrow around the pool. I also have a 5:00 appointment with a masseuse for an hour and a half Thai massage. I can hardly wait.

... no need for a tender. I must admit when I saw that we were going to Corsica I was a bit ambivalent about it. In fact I was close to suggesting to Max that we cancel out tour and just wander around Calvi. Well what a surprise! We boarded our tour bus and set out for a tour of the villages of Balagna. Firstly for those who haven't visited Corsica it has a spine of mountains running through it. From the port I was able to see snow on some of the higher mountains. So there ...

... of Corsica. The road was just as scary as the road from Calvi to Porto but had the additional hazard of pigs and cows wandering along the road. Going to Ajaccio first rather than driving directly from Porto to Conte added two hours to the driving but we felt we should check out Ajaccio. We had second thoughts when the GPS showed it would take us another 40 minutes ...
